Thompson Rivers University is a public, degree-granting institution than offers more than 40 Bachelor degree options as well as more that 50 certificate and diploma programs. In addition to the distinction of TRU programs, our open admission policy in first year arts, science and business continues to attract a variety of students from the regions, the country and internationally. TRU examines applications from international students on an individual basis.  ‘First time’ students to TRU who apply for admission are charged a non-refundable, one time application processing fee of $100.00 Canadian funds.  To apply to TRU, please send us your completed application form, application fee, original or certified copies of high school transcripts and any post-secondary transcripts you may have.  Transcripts must be translated into English in order that they may be evaluated as quickly as possible.  You should apply for admission at least three months prior to commencement of classes. 

The application fee may be paid by credit card (Visa, American Express, and MasterCard), or bank transfer.  Please make your bank draft or money order payable to ‘Thompson Rivers University.”  Our bank transfer details are:

If you have credits from another institution which you would like to transfer to TRU, we will not do any transfer credit until you apply to TRU and pay the $100.00 application fee.  We also require your official transcripts as well as course descriptions and syllabus (translated into English).

It is not required that you have a TOEFL or IELTS score to apply to TRU.  However, if you do have one of these scores, please send it with your application, as it will help us to determine your English level.

TRU operates on a semester basis with programs being offered as follows:

                                                Fall Semester:               September to December

                                                Winter Semester:           January to April

                                                *Summer Semester:       May to August

*Please note that some summer semester programs do not run for the full four months and only a limited number of courses are offered.

We are now accepting applications for the Summer 2011 semester.  It is advantageous to submit your application as soon as possible as the process for student visa authorization can take several months.  The deadline for applications for our Summer 2011 semester is March 15, 2011.  Payment of tuition and original transcript submission deadline is April 1, 2011.   Applications or payments made after these deadlines will be deferred to our Fall 2011 semester (starts in September 2011).

То есть они мне предлагают поторопиться с подачей документов, чтобы успеть по дедлайнам к летнему семестру. Дедлайн подачи заявки — 15 марта 2011 года, дедлайн оплаты и подачи документов — 1 апреля 2011 года. Надо сказать, летний семестр начался в мае. При этом, к сожалению, заявки, пришедшие позже, будут перенесены на осень. Чудеса. Как они сумели настолько автоматически мне ответить с настолько устаревшими данными (которые мне и так известны, кстати)
